Lindsey Nakatani
Japanese American, Soprano.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, in 2009 she was accepted into The Juilliard School, where she began honing her craft with such roles as Serpetta in Mozart’s
La Finta Giardiniera and Rosaura in
Le Donne Curiose. After graduating with her Bachelors of Music in 2013, she was accepted into the Mannes Conservatory of Music at the New School, where she received her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance in 2015.
Lindsey was most recently seen in the world premiere of
Shizue: An American Story with Portland Opera To Go.
Lindsey has also found great success in the roles of Blanche in
Dialogues of the Carmelites with Bronx Opera, Pamina in Pacific Lutheran University’s Summer production of
Die Zauberflöte, Ilia in Mozart’s
Idomeneo, with the Princeton Opera Alliance, Marzelline in the Princeton Music Festival’s production of Beethoven’s
Fidelio, as well as multiple roles with the Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, including Lady Ella in
Patience, The Plaintiff in
Trial by Jury
and the title role of Ida in
Princess Ida. Ms. Nakatani was awarded the first place prize in the Seattle Opera Guild’s Development Awards Competition in 2020.

Lindsey currently resides in New York City where she studies with Ms. Amy Burton and sings with the Chancel Choir of The Brick Presbyterian Church.
